See Slides to the Right for a Glimpse at San Diego’s Inaugural Sweet Solar 16

The San Diego Renewable Energy Society’s Sweet  Solar 16 features a unique complement of grid-tied solar PV and solar water heating solutions on commercial and residential properties that are bringing their owners ample economic and environmental rewards.

Nominated by contractors, educators and citizens at large – and voted on by Board Members of the non-profit San Diego Renewable Energy Society, the Sweet Solar 16 are selected to be part of SD RES’s annual presentation of the San Diego Solar Tour, a free, self-guided open house tour to help people throughout the region learn about the costs, processes and benefits of going solar.

The Sweet Solar 16 are selected based on the type of solution, geographic location, architectural style and energy production value of each structure.  The impetus behind each participant’s decision to go solar also comes into play. People with rooftop, building-integrated and terrestrial-mount solutions that manifest energy efficiency, EV-PV, solar PV and solar water heating solutions are encouraged to apply.
